Whether you’re keen to take in the great outdoors, or looking for the perfect base from which to plan some exciting and varied day trips, Aldbrough Leisure Park can satisfy your activity wish list!

Days out

There are plenty of places to visit when you’re staying at Aldbrough. There’s nearby Hornsea with its shopping, farm, promenade and more as well as a selection of excellent golf courses. Why not try The Deep in Hull or take a walk around the stunning Burton Constable Hall and gardens, a beautiful Elizabethan building and the perfect place for a family picnic? Whatever you’re looking to do, Aldbrough will act as the perfect gateway. 

1. Burton Constable Hall – This 18th and 19th century Elizabethan country house with stunning gardens, tea rooms and play area for children.

2. Hornsea Mere – The largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire is only fifteen minutes’ drive from Aldbrough Leisure Park; offers a cafe and rowing boats.

3. Honeysuckle Farm – You can feed animals, take one of the many signposted walks, milk animals or have a cart ride.

4. Withernsea Lighthouse - This is an interesting lighthouse-turned-museum dedicated to the RNLI and HM Coastguard. Climb its 144 steps for a stunning view of East Yorkshire - excellent for kids, with a cafe onsite.

5. Hull– The UK’s 2017 City of Culture is only 30 minutes drive away. Shop, dine or visit The Deep.

Natural beauty

There’s an abundance of natural beauty around Aldbrough Leisure Park. Beyond the incredible beaches, there are several interesting local walks just minutes away, enabling you to explore medieval Holderness or sections of the Trans Pennine trail which starts in the nearby town of Hornsea. There are dozens of walks suitable for all ages, allowing you to experience the local countryside, villages, wildlife and stunning coastline.

If you’d prefer to explore on wheels then you can tackle the Trans Pennine trail by bike; don’t worry, there are options to suit all ages and abilities, so this is an activity suitable for the whole family.

There are limitless cliff top walks, sea views and chances to soak up some sea air near Aldbrough Leisure Park. Our on park team will be happy to suggest places to take in the best sights.
